2016 Pepsi USBC Youth Championships  -                                    Competition is complete                                         

The Oregon State USBC added $1,000 to the scholarship fund for this year's Pepsi Youth Championship! This brings the total to over $2,233 in added scholarship funds.

Lots of great bowling, including 2, 300 games this last weekend (April 2nd & 3rd) at TenDown Bowling in Roseburg for the State Championship.  Congratulations to all of our champions!  Click the links below to review final results:

The Sectional Qualifiers were held on March 1st and 2nd at four centers around the state.  Results are now official.  Click on the links below to see the results.

OSUSBC Youth Bowlers qualify to move on to Pepsi State  Championships following Sectional Rolls Offs

Thanks to their fine performances at Pepsi Youth Championships Sectional Qualifying 
events this past weekend, 94 bowlers have earned the right to advance to the State Championships. 
The Pepsi Sectional Championships were held in four separate locations where Sunset Lanes in Beaverton was the host for the Section 1 roll off, Cottage Bowl in Cottage Grove hosted Section 2, Roxy Ann Lanes in Medford held our Section 3 roll offs, with our Section 4 roll off being held at Lava Lanes in Bend.
Special thanks go out to our Oregon State and Section 1 Pepsi Youth Director Twila Niemi, Section 2 Director Anita Cardoza, Betty Siemers, for her help in Section 3, and to OSUSBC State Youth Director Gary Davis for serving as our Tournament Director for Section 4, and to all parents, coaches, and participants for supporting the OSUSBC and the Pepsi Youth Championship Tournament.

2014 Pepsi USBC Youth Championships Sectional Qualifiers are Set with Optional Handicap Entries Available - March 1st and 2nd, 2014

Pepsi Youth Championships

 Sectional qualifying will be held at four centers:

- Four Seasons Bowling Center in Hillsboro

- Pioneer Lanes in Independence

- Roxy Ann Lanes in Medford

- Rimrock Lanes in Prineville

Sectional qualifying will take place on March 1st and 2nd, 2014.  Bowlers will compete in 5 age divisions for boys and 5 age divisions for girls.  At least 1 in 5 bowlers in each division (minimum 5 bowlers) will advance to the state finals.  Advancement to the state finals is based on scratch scores only.

Bowlers under the age of 10 as of August 1, 2013 will bowl 3 games.  Competitors 10 and over will bowl 6 games.  See the rules and entry form below for squad times available.

This year, bowlers have the option to enter handicap competition for scholarships.  The optional handicap entry fee is an additional $5.  This gives everyone a chance to earn scholarships in this event.  Handicap scores will NOT be used to determine advancement to the state finals. 

Bowlers who advance to the State Finals will compete at Emerald Lanes in Eugene on April 26th and 27th, 2014.

Pepsi Youth Sectional Qualifying Tournaments Conclude as bowlers prepare for state championships in Albany

 Congratulations to the 96 youth bowlers of ages and abilities and from all parts of our great state that have qualified for the upcoming State Finals. 

The Championship Finals will take place at AMF Albany Lanes during the weekend of April 21-22 where bowlers will be competing for scholarship dollars through the USBC SMART scholarship program. 

All girls and boys 11 & under will bowl 3 games on Saturday and 3 more on Sunday with their handicap added to their scratch scores.  All bowlers 12 & over will be bowling 6 games on Saturday with the top 1 in every 3 entries returning on Sunday with some of the girls and boys competing in either the handicap or scratch divisions. 

Following the completion of 12 games of competition, the top girls and boys scores from the scratch divisions will have the opportunity to represent Oregon at the North Pointe Jr. Gold Championships this summer in Indianapolis.

2012 OSUSBC Pepsi Youth Championship Tournament host         centers named for sectional qualifying competition



Park Lanes in Hillsboro, Town and Country Lanes in Keizer, Hanscam's Bowling Center in Klamath Falls, and Madras Bowl in Madras have been chosen as the 2012 host centers for Sectional Qualifying of the 2012 Oregon Pepsi USBC Youth Championships. 

Qualifying will take place at all four centers on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th and there are six divisions in which to qualify for with separate handicap divisions for boys & girls 11 and under, and handicap and scratch for boys and girls 12 and over.  

All qualifiers from the sectional competition will then move on to the state championships which will take place at AMF Albany Lanes on April 21-22nd where all bowlers will be competing for scholarship dollars through the USBC SMART Program.

                        2011 Pepsi Youth State Championships

Following the initial in league and sectional qualifying levels, 75 youth bowlers earned their way to compete for thousands of scholarship dollars the Oregon State Pepsi Youth Championships.
AMF Firebird Lanes in Salem was the host center where the competition was off the charts and six state champions were crowned.  Congratulations go out to our newest champions Chance Arnold (Jr. Boys Hdcp), Hannah Wools (Jr. Girls Hdcp), Colton Carter (Sr. Boys Hdcp), Brianna Marler (Sr. Girls Hdcp), Nick Devlin (Sr. Boys Scratch), and Vanessa Chenoweth (Sr. Girls Scratch).
Congratulations to everyone who earned the right to represent their section at the state finals, this years scholarship winners, and to our newest state champions. Overall, twenty eight scholarships and $6,315 were paid out through the SMART Scholarship program.

     Pepsi Youth Bowlers Advance to State Championships
Over 360 Youth bowlers took to the lanes on March 5-6 in search of some great bowling fun, competition, and to earn the right to represent their region at the upcoming Pepsi Youth Oregon State Championships.
There were some outstanding bowling and scores posted by many youth bowlers with 135 have making it pass the first hurdle and now move on to Firebird Lanes in Salem for the State Championships April 30th- May 1st.  There bowlers will be competing in the country's premiere youth tournament where an expected $500,000 will be paid out in scholarships throughout the nation.  Best of luck to all of you not only in the state finals, but in all your future bowling ventures
