Oregon State 600 Bowling Club Update

The Oregon State 600 Bowling Club’s facebook page has been hacked.  A bogus facebook page has been created using our name, posts and pictures with content added which is not ours. I have created a closed group (members only) in which all postings will be private. Our facebook page will be removed on Wednesday, May 18. The name of the new group will be the same - Oregon State 600 Bowling Club (capitalized). If you want to be a member of the group, please go to the new “Group” and ask to be added or send me an email and I will add you if you qualify.

Thanks to Laura and Matt Hawes for hosting the tournament and ensuring that we all had a great time.  And a big thanks to all of the Prineville ladies that were there to help out and see that everything went smoothly.  They always do such a great job.  I am working on the checks and they will be mailed to the team captains shortly.

Attendees at the Annual Meeting the first weekend voted to go back to Florence in 2016.  Entry forms will be available soon after the first of the year.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions for next year so that they can be considered before the entry form is finalized.  Please feel free to contact me any time either by email ([email protected]) or by phone (541-513-2446).

We will be needing bids for the 2017 tournament.  Bid instructions are posted above.  If you are interested in having the tournament at your bowling center, please give a copy of the instructions to your proprietor/manager and remind them that bids need to be received no later than August 1, 2016.  We’d love to come spend 2-3 weekends with you!

The new state membership application and the national membership application are also listed above.  Please print them out and make them available to your associations, 600 clubs and leagues.  We depend on YOU to help our membership grow.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  My cell phone number is 541-513-2446 and the club email address is: [email protected].

The 2013 tournament at Roxy Ann Lanes in Medford was very successful with 53 teams entered.  The 2014 tournament will be held at Highland Bowl in Corvallis.  The tournament will be held over two weekends beginning September 6th.  The entry form is listed above in PDF format and can be downloaded and printed.

Some of us missed having the banquet last year so we are trying to find a restaurant where we can order off the menu and hold our Annual Meeting.

We still need centers to bid for the 2015 tournament.  Instructions are listed above.  Please print them and give them to your bowling centers that might be interested in bidding.  Bids are due by August 1 - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  If your proprietor bids, please come to the meeting to vote and show your support.

The state membership application and an updated national membership application are also listed above.  Please print them out and make them available to your associations, 600 clubs and leagues.  We depend on YOU to help our membership grow.

Remember that you do not have to bowl a 600 series every year in order to be a member of the 600 club.  Once you bowl a 600 series you are eligible for both the state and national 600 clubs.
