Five months into my new job and I've made a lot of new friends.  If you've read my past blog posts you'll know that I think bowling is a community of people who are drawn together by the love of a sport.  As I've had the chance to make new friends, I've discovered what others may have already figured out: Growing the sport of bowling really isn't going to happen through the USBC or the bowling centers...it will happen when we the bowlers start inviting our friends to start bowling with us.  

The majority of people bowling today  A)  Have been bowling since childhood, or B)  One of their friends or family INVITED them and they were hooked.  There are a few out there who of course just thought to themselves one day, "Hmmm, I think I'll join a bowling league, even though I've never done it and I don't know anyone else who does either."   

Bowling is different things to different people, but to all bowlers it supposed to be something fun.  So why not spread the fun around?  Bowling:  Bring a friend.
